I'm a 17 year old girl With Special Needs, I grew up with a different family and i mostly see my mum once every week for a hour supervised. My brother called Ben who has Autism and Adhd and i work with him nearly everyday except when me or Ben is at Respite I go to a place in Ballybofey in Ireland called Drumboe House and Ben goes to a place called Ballymacool house near were i live. I go to a school which isn't a school where you can just come in you come into it if you have Special Needs. From my point off view I try and see how i have Special Needs and i always which that i didn't i have been working with Special Needs Children for about 11 years and i can always sense if someone has Autism or Adhd just wish i knew that Ben had it before it was too late. Ben has little speech but it's coming on well he goes too a Special School too but it's called Little Angels, everyone in the school thinks he is a little angel, but he's like that in school but when he gets home he's a little devil, but thats what i love about him. Everyone always ask me Lisa how is it you know every word he says and i always reply when you have a understanding of what Autism and Adhd is and you understand the effects and you have lived either with it yourself or someone close to you everyday you begin too understand what they are saying. I miss him when he's away to Respite but i try not to show it because 11 and a half years working with him doesn't seem a long time to some people but to me it's a extremely long espically if it's someone really close to you. When he was very young i couldn't go out off the house or he would cry looking for me that is how close i am too him!
